The influence of Warhol, something more interesting is going on to the right?

@JoeB: The paintings are by Julian Opie. They're portraits of the four members of Blur and were done for a Greatest Hits album they released a few years ago. This original artwork is now in The National Galllery in London.
I wanted to take this picture because I like both band and artist, but photography isn't allowed in the Gallery. As I was sneaking the camera to my eye, a guard tapped me on the shoulder, the shutter went off and a blurred lady obscured the image of Damon Albarn, Blur's lead singer. I like that - a nice, happy accident.
If you have an eye for the art you should check out more of Opie's work. I'm amazed by his portraits - they are just a few lines, simple circles for eyes and very primary colours and yet with such simple technique he always seems to perfectly nail the soul of his subjects. I don't have a clue how he does it but all of his images are very similar and yet each one is totally unique.
